Sacrifices
Our ancestors knew only the duality of reckoning time in our Middle-Earth; summer to winter, night to day, Mona to Sunna. The passing of the seasons were integral to the livelihood of our forefathers, as they are to Paganism now.
The festivals we observe within the Order follow the cycle of the full moons corresponding to lunar months - as in the time of our noble past. In this we observe twelve major rituals - or Blōts, with a thirteenth observed during the Thrilithi. We further observe a calendar of minor rites, feast days and observances. The below key has been set out to summarise these distinctions:
Blōt
A major sacrifice of the calendar year, conducted by the Goðar or with one's clan.
Observance
A period of observance without formal event. Best observed with one's clan solely.
Feast Day
A day of feasting and drinking. A meal organised between any observing Heathens.
Other Rite
All other rituals that do not fit the above criteria.
