Our History

Who We Are

The Order of the Sacred Mannerbunde (or the Order) is a Germanic Heathen fraternal society and holy-guild. Initially formed in 2021 as a long-held dream of its founder, the dedicated Brothers of the Order endeavour to bring the ancient Pagan traditions back to England.
 
Our Order is composed of those ready to dedicate their efforts fully to the common cause of the Germanic New Revival; the Gods themselves. If the Order were to be categorised as one word, let it be zeal.
 
We are committed to the carrying out of charitable works emphasising; mainstream education on Heathenry, preservation of historic buildings and support for our Heathen community (the Folk).

Our Mission Statement

The objects of the Order are:

(1) To advance and promote the Germanic Heathen religion in accordance with:
(a) The providing of educational material and opportunities for learning on the religious practices and beliefs of Germanic Heathen religion through research, publication and seminars/lectures for the benefit of its members.
(b) The promoting of spiritual engagement and education of the religious practices and beliefs of Germanic Heathen religion through the carrying out of religious devotional acts by and for its members.

(2) The establishment and running of Germanic Heathen places of worship (“hofs”).

(3) To promote the virtue of charitable action by its members for the benefit of the Germanic Heathen community.

How to Join

If you are to join our Order, you need only get involved in the active English Pagan community. Once a dedicated believer, you will find your way to our Order if Wyrd intends for it to be so.
